What is NordBio?
The Nordic bioeconomy initiative (NordBio) is a priority program under the Icelandic chairmanship of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The program covers three years (2014-2016) and is a collaboration of five Nordic councils of ministers. Within the program a broad group of Nordic bioeconomy experts are pooling their efforts in working on projects promoting sustainable u of living natural resources.

NordBio’s goal is to make the Nordic countries leading in the field of sustainable production and use of living natural resources in order to reduce waste and promote innovation, green economy and regional development, as well as to introduce new and creative methods of learning.
